TPU is a Thermoplastic Polyurethane material that is highly popular and relatively new, especially compared to other plastics. It’s a type of polymer material that is made up of several small, elastic TPU beads. In manufacturing, TPU has a diverse range of uses including medical devices, automotive instrument panels, caster wheels, power tools, sporting goods, footwear, and more.

TPU has several benefits that make it ideal for sleeve or pouch manufacturing, particularly for medical applications. These include:

Our Process

Sleeves and pouches are created using an RF sealing machine in our new state-of-the-art class 8 cleanroom. Dubbed “The Foam Center of Excellence”, this new ISO-certified cleanroom ensures that the manufacturing process keeps your product free of particulates and other airborne contaminants.

After you settle on a design with our engineering team, the product is fabricated in TPU material using either RF sealing or RF welding capabilities. The RF sealing machine in our newest cleanroom is brand new, and our team is proud to be putting it to use on a range of high-quality medical manufacturing projects.

RF sealing bonds two layers of TPU together by using radio frequency (RF) energy, while our RF welding machines use a pneumatic press to clamp two separate molds.
